Welcome to newtonhillckd.co.uk!
Around May of this year, I made the decision to put together a website for the club. It's taken a while, but I'm quite happy with the results so far and thought it was time to publish the site and begin to make use of it. Have a look around and if there’s any thoughts as to additions to the site, get in touch and we’ll see if it’s something we can include…
Whilst the site can serve as a first point of contact for potential new students, there are a number of areas of the site, which will be particularly useful to existing students too. Firstly, there’s a section under ‘About Us’ called ‘Our Classes’. In here you’ll find a list of future amendments to classes such as cancellations or if we’re in the Small Hall as opposed to the Main Hall. Secondly, there’s the News page. This is effectively a blog and allows us to post updates of any and all information that could be of interest. We’ll try to use this like an online newsletter, meaning no more relying on the kids handing over that hard copy... As a subsection of this, there’s also a ‘Social’ page – we all love a good social! This will include details of any upcoming events planned outside of classes, giving us the opportunity to get in on a little team building.
As well as that, there’s a page on Gradings. This will display the date and time of the next grading, as well as a list of all grading dates for the remainder of the calendar year. 2019’s dates are now available.
The site also provides access to the International Student Portal. This portal provides various pieces of information, but most importantly, provides a list of your current and previous syllabus. In addition to the Student Portal, Assistant Instructors also have access to an A.I. only area, which includes things like the handbook and any notes we think might be useful.
I really hope you find the site useful and that it becomes a focal point for information flow between you and us. It is still under development and will grow itself the more we use it. All feedback is welcome!

Stewart
